A Wright County deputy in St. Michael, Minnesota fatally shot a driver during a traffic stop after the driver exited the vehicle armed with a weapon and confronted the officer. The deputy attempted life-saving measures until paramedics arrived, but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The officer involved has been placed on administrative leave, and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating the incident.
