A VIA Rail train hit debris near Agassiz, BC, causing damage to the engine and fuel tank, leading to a diesel spill. The train was travelling from Vancouver to Toronto, with 121 passengers and crew on board. Fortunately, none were injured in the incident. The cause of the debris on the tracks is under investigation by Agassiz RCMP and Canada Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) police.
