Tennessee Governor Bill Lee deployed 50 Tennessee National Guard members to the U.S. southern border as part of "Operation Lone Star." The governor visited soldiers at the Millington Tennessee Army National Guard Armory before their deployment to Texas, amidst rising crime, drug trafficking, and human trafficking at the border. This marks the first wave of two planned deployments to support Texas' border security efforts.
