Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated India's first Made-in-India ASTDS tug, 'Ocean Grace', and a Medical Mobile Unit (MMU) on 2nd March 2024. The Ocean Grace, developed by Cochin Shipyard Limited, has a 60-tonne bollard pull and aligns with the Green Tug Transition Programme (GTTP) aiming to convert 50% of all tugs into green tugs by 2030. The MMU serves underprivileged communities as part of the port's corporate social responsibility.
