Lake Louise visitors face major traffic disruption this summer due to a $9.8M road construction and repaving project on Lake Louise Drive. With about one million vehicles each summer, a robust traffic management plan will be in place, according to François Masse, superintendent for Lake Louise, Yoho and Kootenay. The project is expected to have a significant impact on the tourist season.
