EU Court orders EU regulators to pay Qualcomm $851,634 of legal fees, significantly less than Qualcomm's $12M claim following a 2018 antitrust fine appeal win.

The European Union's second-highest court has ordered EU regulators to pay $851,634 (€785,857.54) of legal fees to Qualcomm, less than 10% of the $12M claim the U.S. chipmaker sought after winning an appeal against an antitrust fine of over $1bn in 2018. The Luxembourg-based General Court stated that the quantity of work and associated costs cited by Qualcomm were excessive, thereby reducing the compensation.
