BC Information and Privacy Commissioner limits a Summerland resident's FOI requests, deeming them "systematic" and "excessively broad".
The BC Information and Privacy Commissioner has limited Freedom of Information (FOI) requests filed by a single Summerland resident, ruling that his 10 recent requests were "systematic" and "excessively broad." The ruling allows the District of Summerland to disregard these requests and permits them to address seven newer requests one at a time. In addition, the resident may only have one active FOI request with the local government at a time for the next three years.
