33-year-old Ysleta ISD employee Rayan Anthony Avalos was arrested for an alleged improper relationship with an 18-year-old student, starting in November 2023. The school contacted the El Paso Police School Resource Officer, leading to the investigation by the Crimes Against Children unit. Avalos is charged with improper relationship between educator and student and held on a $100,000 bond.
