Vancouver Whitecaps midfielder Russell Teibert, 31, has announced his retirement from professional soccer after a 16-year career with the club. Teibert, who ranks fourth in Whitecaps history with 301 appearances, will continue his involvement with the team in a new front-office role. During his time at the Whitecaps, Teibert helped the team win the Canadian Championship three times, including each of the past two years.
