Indian apps removed from Play Store for non-compliance with Google's payments policy.

Google has removed at least 23 apps from nine Indian developers from the Play Store for not adhering to its payments policy. The delisted apps include those from Matrimony.com, InfoEdge, People Interactive, and Alt Balaji. Indian app developers argue that Google's payment policies are unfair and violate the Competition Commission of India's order. Google's Play Billing System (GPBS) requires developers to pay a service fee of 15% for the first $1 million revenue and 30% for earnings over $1 million. In response to backlash, Google began allowing developers in India to use alternative billing systems but with a reduced service to Google.
