Helena police officer injured during pursuit of burglary, assault suspect; suspect arrested.
Helena Police officer injured during pursuit of a man who was later arrested for burglary and assault. The incident occurred at 100 Cutler St., where the officer was chasing a 35-year-old suspect with a metal bar. The suspect was arrested on charges of aggravated burglary, partner/family member assault, third-offense violation of a protection order, obstructing a peace officer, and resisting arrest. The officer was released from the hospital later.
