Georgia's largest county continues to repair damage from a January cyberattack, which left government offices without phone services and unable to issue vehicle registrations or marriage licenses. Hackers, who identified themselves as LockBit, threatened to release sensitive data if a ransom was not paid. Fulton County, which includes most of Atlanta, has not paid any ransom, but the restoration of phone service and online systems remains ongoing.
