Driven by tourism and international conferences, the UAE's aviation sector has gained global confidence, with 521 national carrier aircraft and 924 registered aircraft overall. Airports are investing in infrastructure and air traffic management, with strategic projects worth over AED700 million. Dubai World Central (DWC), a future aerotropolis, aims to become the world's largest airport, capable of handling over 160 million passengers annually and 12 million tonnes of freight.
