Chad's government accused the opposition Socialist Party Without Borders of carrying out a deadly attack on the National State Security Agency's headquarters in the capital, N'Djamena, resulting in several casualties. The incident occurred days before Chad's presidential election set for May 6, with both the current President Mahamat Idriss Deby and opposition leader Yaya Dillo planning to contest. The government stated that the perpetrators of the attack would be arrested or sought and prosecuted.
