A woman has been arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) for allegedly attempting to kidnap a 4-year-old boy from a Target store in Westlake. The suspect, whose name has not been released, was taken into custody on Wednesday at around 11:40 a.m. in North Hollywood. The woman is accused of forcefully grabbing the child from behind, but put him down after the boy's parent confronted her and fled the scene on foot. An investigation remains ongoing.
