Pennsylvania police officers have settled a lawsuit with a woman who alleged she was unnecessarily subjected to a humiliating strip-search after being pulled over for a minor traffic violation. Holly Elish's lawsuit, filed in 2021, claimed that after she denied permission for a vehicle search, officers intimidated her into allowing a strip-search for her safety. The settlement terms were not disclosed.
