International Game Technology (IGT) is merging two of its units with Everi in a $6.2bn deal. The combined company, which will operate under IGT's name, will create a comprehensive and diverse global gaming and fintech enterprise. The deal separates IGT's Global Gaming and PlayDigital businesses, leaving it a pure-play global lottery business. IGT shareholders are expected to own about 54% of the combined company, with the rest going to Everi stockholders.
