The FCC is considering steps to prevent domestic abusers from tracking victims through smart car services. FCC Chair Jessica Rosenworcel proposes using existing law, specifically the Safe Connections Act, to ensure car manufacturers and wireless service providers protect domestic abuse survivors from misuse of car connectivity tools. The Safe Connections Act requires mobile service providers to let survivors of domestic abuse separate their phone lines from their abuser's.
