Estella Leopold, conservationist Aldo Leopold's last child and co-founder of the Aldo Leopold Foundation, passed away at 97.

Estella Leopold, the last remaining child of renowned conservationist and author Aldo Leopold, has died at age 97. A researcher and scientist, she dedicated her life to her father's land ethic philosophy and specialized in studying pollen, known as palynology. Estella, along with her sister and three brothers, founded the Aldo Leopold Foundation in 1982, which is now a National Historic Landmark located in Wisconsin.
