Cuba will implement a 500% fuel price increase, originally scheduled for February 1, a month later on March 1 due to a "cybersecurity incident". The government announced the higher prices via the state-run mouthpiece Granma, and the price of electricity will also rise by 25% from the same date for the country's biggest consumers. The fuel price hike aims to reduce Cuba's budget deficit.
