Yarriambiack Shire Council in Victoria, Australia will reduce its number of councillors in 2024.

Yarriambiack Shire Council in Victoria, Australia will reduce its number of councillors from seven to six in 2024 after an independent review panel assessed the electoral structure of 39 Victorian councils. The council will remain a three-ward structure, but the number of councillors will be decreased, resulting in an even number of councilors, which may increase the risk of tied votes, giving the mayor the deciding vote. The accepted model for the council's subdivision will have three wards, each with two councillor representatives. Ward boundaries will also be adjusted, and information sessions will be held to help prospective candidates understand their roles and expectations.
