A study published in the journal Sleep Health found a link between poor sleep and indications of muscle dysmorphia in over 900 adolescents and young adults. Those with more muscle dysmorphia symptoms reported getting fewer hours of sleep and having difficulty falling or staying asleep. Poor sleep was found to have significant negative impacts on adolescents and young adults, including increased negative mental health symptoms.
