Singapore will buy eight F-35A fighter jets as part of its defense spending increase, bringing the Republic of Singapore Air Force's (RSAF) incoming fleet of fifth-generation fighters to 20. The jets, expected to be delivered around 2030, will join the existing order of 12 F-35 "B" variant jets. The price of Singapore's F-35A purchase was not revealed, but F-35 prices are now more competitive due to a healthy order pipeline for the jets globally.
