Due to hazardous driving conditions from swirling snow and poor visibility, numerous schools in southern Manitoba have closed on Tuesday. A blowing snow advisory from Environment Canada covers the Red River Valley and part of the Interlake region, expected to last until Tuesday afternoon. Strong northerly winds have been brought by an Alberta clipper system that arrived on Monday, causing widespread blowing snow and wind gusts of up to 80 km/h.
