RCMP Commissioner reports no evidence of data extraction during recent cyberattack; RCMP, Shared Services Canada, and Communications Security Establishment assess breach scope.

RCMP Commissioner Mike Duheme reported that there is no evidence to date that data was extracted from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police's (RCMP) systems during a recent cyberattack, despite the attack being considered alarming by the force. The RCMP is working with Shared Services Canada and the Communications Security Establishment, Canada's cyberspy agency, to assess the full scope of the breach.
