Miami-Dade woman Ivette Diaz, 49, was arrested on charges of poisoning food or water after her boyfriend discovered a bleach tablet in his tea cup on February 20th. Diaz claimed she thought the tablet was sugar, but the stored locations of the powdered sugar and bleach tablets cast doubt on her explanation. The boyfriend experienced immediate burning in his throat and was taken to Homestead Hospital for treatment.
