Glencore is considering acquiring Shell's oil operations in Singapore, including a 237,000 barrels per day refinery, an ethylene plant, and a mono-ethylene glycol production facility, after previous potential buyers dropped out. Glencore is collaborating with PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical for evaluating the assets. The ageing site faces competition from newer refineries in China and elsewhere.
