Alberta Health Minister pauses South Edmonton Hospital plans to focus on a standalone Stollery Children's Hospital, allocating $20M over 3 years.

Alberta Health Minister Adriana LaGrange announces a pause in plans for a new South Edmonton Hospital to focus on building a standalone Stollery Children's Hospital. The existing Stollery Children's Hospital sees over 300,000 patients annually and the new facility would provide more beds, larger clinical spaces, and dedicated areas for children and their families. The province will allocate $20 million over three years to advance plans for the standalone children's hospital.
