A British Airways supervisor, aged 24, allegedly orchestrated a £3m ($4m) immigration scam from his check-in desk at Heathrow's Terminal 5, charging customers £25,000 to allow them to fly without the correct visa documents. Canadian authorities noticed a trend in asylum claimants entering the country on BA flights from London, leading to his arrest. However, he has since fled to India, prompting a joint investigation by UK and Indian police.
