Vandals have toppled a statue of Captain Cook at Cooks' Cottage in Melbourne's Fitzroy Gardens. This is the third statue of Cook in Melbourne to be targeted by vandals this year. The Melbourne City Council is assessing the damage to the statue and will consider if it can be repaired. The statue was filmed being sawn off by unknown offenders masked and dressed in all black.
