Three dolphins were sighted in the River Thames near Northfleet, Kent, an uncommon occurrence.
Three dolphins were spotted swimming in the River Thames near Northfleet, Kent by RNLI volunteers on Sunday. It is rare to see dolphins in the River Thames, as it is home to 125 species of fish and marine and terrestrial mammals, but dolphins and porpoises are less common. Crew member John Robinson described it as "incredible to witness right here on the River Thames."
