The airport aims to utilize the northern runway for daily take-offs and landings. In response to criticism, Gatwick Airport is transitioning its fleet from diesel to hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) and investing £250m to replace vehicles, gas boilers, and refrigerants with low-carbon alternatives.
