State-owned NTPC subsidiary NTPC Mining Ltd surpassed 100 MMT coal production on February 25, 2024.
State-owned NTPC has crossed the 100 million tonne (MT) coal production mark from its captive mines, achieving the milestone on February 25, 2024. NTPC Mining Ltd, the company's coal-mining subsidiary, surpassed the milestone with a cumulative quantity of 100.04 MMT of coal produced since January 1, 2017, when coal production began in its first mine, Pakri Barwadih. NML is targeting 100 MT coal production per annum by 2030.
