In Missouri, pregnant women cannot get divorced due to a law that requires judges to wait until after the woman gives birth before finalizing the divorce, child custody, and child support. This also applies in Texas, Arizona, and Arkansas. State Rep. Ashley Aune, a Democrat from District 14 in Missouri, introduced a bill this legislative session to change this law, stating that it doesn't make sense in 2024 and needs updating.
