Malibu Canyon Road reopened on Monday, five days after it was closed due to a massive mudslide caused by heavy rainfall. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) announced the road's reopening on their social media platform, with an accompanying image showing the open road with a K-Rail still in place along one side. The road had been closed between Piuma and Francisco Ranch roads since Wednesday.
