Himachal Pradesh's Industries Minister announces new pension rule: ten years minimum service required.

Himachal Pradesh's Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan stated that government employees who do not complete a minimum of ten years of service in the state will not be eligible for pension. The Central Civil Services (CCS) Pension Rules 1972 require a minimum ten years of service for pension benefits, and contractual service does not count. So far, pension under the Old Pension Rules has been released to 3,899 employees.
