A Halton police officer suffered minor injuries after being dragged 50 meters during an attempted car theft arrest in Milton, Ontario on February 21. The suspect, 23-year-old Takiyoudine Oumerzouk from Montreal, was later arrested and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, obstructing a peace officer, and breaching his release order by leaving Quebec. The incident involved a 2024 Toyota Tundra pickup truck.
