Dozens of Owasso High School students in Oklahoma walked out of school on February 21 to protest against a culture of bullying and lack of response by school officials, following the death of 16-year-old Nex Benedict, who died on February 8 after being beaten in a school restroom. The students demand action against discrimination and bullying of transgender and gender nonconforming students.
