Online travel platform Expedia plans to cut 1,500 jobs globally as part of its "organizational and technological transformation". The company announced the move after warning that revenue would moderate in 2024 due to decreasing air ticket prices and CEO Peter Kern stepping down. Expedia Group, which operates brands like Vrbo and Hotels.com, currently has 17,100 employees in more than 50 countries.
