During a one-day "Safe on Seven" traffic safety campaign on Highway 7, two stunt drivers were charged, along with 39 speeding charges, one driver with readily available cannabis, and two drivers without seatbelts. Six out of 19 inspected commercial motor vehicles were deemed out of service. The campaign aimed to address the "big 4" causes of collisions: impaired driving, distracted driving, aggressive driving, and not wearing seatbelts.
