A 24-hour burn ban has been issued for Benton County, Arkansas by the fire marshal, prohibiting outdoor or open burning. The National Weather Service in Tulsa reports gusty winds could increase grassland fire rates, with rates potentially continuing to rise on Tuesday. All of Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley are currently in moderate wildfire danger, according to the Arkansas Forestry Commission.
