Azerbaijan's Shah Deniz 2 project successfully started gas production from the East-North flank on February 13, 2024. The flank consists of five wells, two production manifolds, two new flowlines, and several subsea structures. Since its development in 2006, the Shah Deniz field has produced 209 billion cubic meters of gas and 45 million tons of condensate. Additional wells on the western, southeastern, southwestern, and northeastern flanks are planned for completion and commissioning by 2027.
