Asia-Pacific lenders predict a rise in syndicated loan volume in 2024.

Asia-Pacific lenders anticipate a rise in syndicated loan volume in 2024 due to a rebound in M&A activity and increased cross-border investments, as well as ESG focus in India, Southeast Asia, and Australia. This follows a 22% decline in APAC ex-Japan leveraged loan volume in 2023. Bankers expect more extension, repricing, and dividend recap opportunities as companies invest outside their home markets.
