Africa Education Watch urges Ghana's government to target Free SHS policy at poor households using LEAP data.

Africa Education Watch (Eduwatch) urges Ghana's government to target Free Senior High School (SHS) policy at children from poor households using LEAP programme data. The LEAP programme database includes over 346,019 poor households. The Free SHS policy has benefitted over 5.7 million students since its inception in September 2017. Eduwatch recommends that free boarding secondary education be reserved for students in underserved communities, with parents paying for boarding status.
