Online advertising market in Australia grew by 3.7% in 2023 to $14.7bn, marking the slowest growth since 2020 due to interest rate uncertainties and rising unemployment (4.1% in January), according to IAB Australia. General display ads grew 3.9% to $5.7bn, while search & directories increased 6.1% to $6.6bn. Classified listings declined 2.6% to $2.4bn due to slower property & job market activity.
