Malaysia's airport passenger traffic increased by double-digits.

Malaysia's airport passenger traffic saw double-digit growth in the past two months due to 30-day visa exemptions for Chinese and Indian visitors from Dec 1. Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook said the increase would boost tourism, economic growth, and strengthen the Malaysian ringgit. Last year, airports recorded 81.9M passengers, the highest since COVID-19. The country had 147 flight routes worldwide, up 25% from 121 destinations.
