New LNG terminal ship reaches site off German island.
The first liquefied natural gas (LNG) vessel, Energos Power, has arrived at Germany's Baltic Sea terminal of Mukran for a test operation. The terminal, located on Ruegen island, is part of Germany's effort to replace Russian pipeline gas following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The vessel, operated by Deutsche ReGas, was loaded with Norwegian gas and will take on LNG from other vessels before regasifying and transferring it to the German long-distance pipeline network.
