French billionaire Xavier Niel's investment vehicle, Freya Investissement, owned by Niel's Iliad SA and NJJ Holding, has agreed to acquire a 19.8% stake in Swedish telecom company Tele2 AB for approximately 13 billion Swedish kronor ($1.3 billion). The acquisition will be executed in three tranches and aims to support Niel's strategy of expanding throughout Europe with affordable telecom services.
