New Zealand's Livestock Investment Corporation (LIC) expressed "extreme disappointment" after learning Elders allegedly forged certificates for thousands of NZ cattle exported to China from 2010 to 2013. The certificates in question were pedigree documents that were fraudulently altered by Elders employees using software. LIC confirms it was not involved in or aware of the alleged fraud.
