Cyprus's Mediterranean seal population projected to rise by 2023.

Cyprus's Mediterranean seal population is expected to increase to 20-22 seals by 2023, according to Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Environment, Maria Panayiotou. The seals, considered Europe's most endangered marine mammals, faced threats like habitat loss, urbanization, tourism pressures, and overfishing.
